Full Day Lake Borumba Bass And Saratoga Experience
Overview Of The Experience
Nestled just inland of Gympie in the magical hinterland of South East Queensland, Lake Borumba is nothing short of a fishing playground. Surrounded by dense natural rainforest the the tranquility and superb scenery only heighten the fishing experience.
Well stocked with extremely well conditioned Australian bass and saratoga, the lake also holds silver and golden perch and a good population of the protected Mary River Cod. All of these species thrive and grow fat in the diverse habitat of the lake, which includes dense stands of vegetation, old creek channels, prolific standing and fallen timber, rocky shorelines and plenty more.
The ultra modern fishing platform from which you'll explore these waters might seem out of place in such idyllic natural surroundings, yet it somehow fits in and provides comfort and all the electronic wizardry you could want to find and tempt fish. Be sure to take the opportunity to learn from a master of sounder interpretation and take away some skills that will serve you well for life.
Of course, finding fish is just part of the puzzle for a tournament angler. The next part is having some knowledge and techniques that place you ahead of your fellow competitors. And whilst you're not on this trip to win a tournament, rest assured thetips you pick up will definitely take your fishing to new heights.
Your experience includes pickup and dropoff from within 10km of Noosaville (or greater distances by negotiation - additional costs may apply), all tackle, snacks, lunch and refreshments.
Personal effects such as hat and sunscreen, camera and polarised sunglasses are all you'll need to bring, although you're welcome to bring your own lure or fly fishing tackle if you wish! Note that you'll need to go online and get yourself a stocked impoundments fishing licence before setting off.
Callum is a talented tournament bass angler and was the youngest competitor ever to win the Bass Pro comp. He’s held the world record for Australian Bass, both won and been runner up for the coveted “Angler Of The Year” award and has consistently been on the leader board in Bass tournaments. When he’s not competing, Callum operates a guided fishing business and is working on a line of blades lures specifically designed with Australian Bass in mind.
